Primary Training Programmes

More than 600 teachers have the AMI Primary Diploma

Model Montessori House of children 2010- 2016

The Trust ran the Model Montessori House of Children a school for the children between ages of 2 ½ to 6. The Model Montessori House of children was inaugurated on the 29th of July 2010 on Ms Helen Mohan Elias was the Chief Directress assisted by Ms Talat Shabnam and Ms Amina Banu.

The model Montessori House of children a school for children between the ages 2- 6 years was inaugurated by late Padma Shree Begum Bilkees Latif the chairperson of the Montessori Training and Research Trust on 29th of July 2010 to commemorate Mr. J.R.D Tata's Birth Anniversary and functioned at the Basheerbagh premises till 2016. MMHOC was started by Ms Helen Mohan Elias as the Chief Directress, Ms Talat Shabnam Directress under the guidance of Ms Shashi Agarwal Academic consultant. Later on Ms Amina Banu joined the team. MMHOC supported around 100 children in their development.  The bond formed by the team, the parents and the children continues as the MMHOC FAMILY.

Elementary Training Programmes

  • 2018-2019 Mr Greg MacDonald  82 Diplomas at the Elementary Level given

The first elementary program was conducted in Hyderabad by Mr Greg MacDonald in two summer modules from March 2018 to June 2019.

Greg MacDonald is an AMI Director of Elementary Training with over twenty years of training experience. He has trained Montessori elementary teachers in the USA, Canada, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Germany and Mexico. He co-directed the first AMI elementary courses offered in Japan andin Mexico. Besides conducting his regular course programs in the United States, Greg is an AMI-USA school consultant and he is a regular speaker at Montessori workshops, parent evenings and conferences nationally and internationally.

91 students from different states of India and abroad took the elementary training.

Other Training Programmes

  • The Asia Seminar was conducted over three Years from 2013-2016
  • Over 21 future Trainers of training for the primary level participated
  • Several open house programmes have been conducted by the Directors of Training.

Adolescent Training program

The adolescent workshop first of its kind in Asia was conducted in Hyderabad by Jenny Hoglund and Chaitanya Yelamanchile at Pragnya School, co organized by AMI, Great works, MTRT and Pragnya Montessori School with a record of 117 participants from 9th to 12th November 2019.

Out Reach Programmes

  • The 6th AMI EsF Assembly, was held in 2016 in Hyderabad. Over 68 participants representing all the continents of the world attended the assembly.

2017 Onwards the Esf MTRT,

  • With the TMREIS Telangana Minorities Residential Education Institution Society
  • A programme has been launched to help children transferred from the Aneesul Gurba orphanage to the school at Musheerabad.

The Anganwadi Centres Initiative

  • With Mrs Uma Ramani, Ms Helen Mohan Elias and Dr Rama (of the RajannaTrust) a very important imitative was  under the EsF work was undertaken with 50 Centres in AP. Over a period of one year, Anganwadi workers were trained in using the Montessori Approach to children.
  • (0-5) under their care. Equipment was provided to all the centres.

Several parent orientation programmes have been conducted over the past 20 years and also open house by the Directors of Training.

Many Montessori material exhibitions at Lady Hydari Club (training center) and People’s Plaza Necklace road was organized.
